CranioSacral Bodywork

Craniosacral bodywork

Craniosacral work on the skull (cranium)

"The treatment plan is inherent in the tissue" - "At the heart of every dysfunction lies health, lies healing."

Craniosacral therapy is a body-oriented, manual form of treatment that developed from osteopathy in the USA in the first half of the 20th century.

It is based on working with the craniosacral rhythm, which is reflected in the fine pulsation of the brain and spinal cord fluid. This fluid nourishes, moves and protects our nervous system - from the skull (cranium) to the sacrum (sacrum). Since the craniosacral rhythm spreads throughout the body via the connective tissue, it can be felt everywhere.

As a craniosacral practitioner, I can feel the quality of the rhythmic movements and can support and harmonize them. As a result, tension, pain or restricted mobility are released; the immune system is strengthened and the vital functions are stabilized.

Craniosacral practitioners work holistically and with the greatest care - on a physical, emotional and psychological level. We orient ourselves to our inherent health and the self-healing powers that we bring with us. A respectful linguistic accompaniment of the manual treatment supports self-awareness and can also offer emotional processes space and support at the same time.

A cranio session usually lasts around a good hour, but it can be shorter for children and babies. Meanwhile, you lie in comfortable clothing on a therapy table. However, you can also sit, stand or move.

Targeted, mindful touches create a kind of dialogue between my hands and you and your body - often there are longer quiet moments. However, you can exchange ideas with me at any time and report how and what you are currently experiencing.

Respectful verbal accompaniment supports your self-awareness during the cranio session and can also offer inner, emotional processes space and support at the same time.

"My concern as a trainer is not only to convey knowledge and skills comprehensively, precisely, well-founded and lively, but above all to create a space in which the learners experience the range and depth of CranioSacral Healing for themselves, because that enables them to pass on the craniosacral healing work from within with a grown presence."

My Cranio teacher, Ramraj Ulrich Löwe, succeeded in doing this with his well-founded CranioSacral Healing® training. With him I completed the basic training level I-V, as well as Vizeral Healing I+II, Heart of Healing at the CranioSacral Healing school. I am happy that from 2022 I will support Ramraj as an assistant in his training.

CranioSacral Healing® combines sophisticated, anatomically-scientifically based body work, attuned energy work and verbal accompaniment of inner processes, thus enabling comprehensive recovery processes on all levels. Our task in craniosacral bodywork is to bring the client in contact with themselves and their inner resources in such a way that they can heal themselves from within. This applies both to working with language and to silent, body-oriented work. We are not the great doers who accomplish great things, but more like amazed students, servants or assistants to the inner healing powers of the client. Our role is most comparable to that of a catalyst in chemistry: the healing happens from within the client.

Joachim Lichtenberg, qualified psychologist, non-medical practitioner - another valuable teacher whose work I admire very much. So far I have been able to complete birth experience 1 and 2, as well as cranial nerve 1 with him (the waiting lists are long ;-)).

With Birgit Hilpert, head of the CranioSchool in Vöckelsbach, as my supervisor throughout my training and still today, I have had another wonderful soul by my side to learn CranioSacral bodywork in depth.
